A Christmas Message
While the Mercedes driven by Lewis Hamilton continues to cry after failing to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year, the 2015 World Champion has another Christmas wish. He’s hoping that when he gets Nicole under the mistletoe, he hasn’t got his helmet on this time. Judging by her current West End role, Nicole is one cat that’s not going to be spending the night on the tiles this Christmas.
It’s been another interesting year for F1 with plenty of controversial moments, crazy rule changes and a British World Champion. Sadly we didn’t get a season where it was difficult to predict results and hopefully we’ll get a much closer season in 2015.
I hope you all have a great Christmas and a brilliant new year. If your partner doesn’t want that F1 DVD you’ve got her for Christmas I’m sure you’ll find a good use for it.
Next week when things start to get a bit back to normal and we can actually answer the question ‘what day of the week is it today?’ I’ll look back at the best quotes from 2014. For the time being here’s a list that probably won’t be on that list.
Some quotes that weren’t uttered in 2014
“It’s the best rule we’ve ever introduced in Formula 1” – anyone talking about the double points law (RIP).
“Actually I meant double pints in the bar at the last race” – Bernie Ecclestone
“Getting really close to the Mercedes now” – pick your own team.
“That was amazing, can you do it again?” – the Mercedes staff after hearing Nico Rosberg singing.
“I’m going to make a quick decision on our team for 2015” – Ron Dennis
“Close finishes in the Constructor’s Championship are so tense” – Mercedes
“Has anyone looked in the lake?” – Red Bull bosses after their trophies were stolen
“I’m going to dye my hair black.” – Bernie Ecclestone
“Bribery trials don’t come cheap you know” – Bernie Ecclestone
“No more repeats on this channel in the future” – Sky F1
